Cybersecurity experts warn about the leak of data from more than one hundred thousand cards of Russian credit institutions. According to experts, the attackers even tried to massively write off money from the accounts of bank customers.

Cybercriminals have been trying to operate with compromised information for the past three days. As noted in the Infosecurity company, quoted by Kommersant, unknown people leaked the data of more than 100 thousand cards free of charge.

Well-known specialist Ashot Hovhannisyan said that in the past few days he came across at least one offer to sell leaked information. Later, the corresponding announcement on the forum, which was posted by an English-speaking user, was removed for violating the rules of the site.

Evgeny Tsarev, a representative of the RTM Group, stressed that attempts to write off the funds of the Russians have been observed since February 26, and the leaks themselves occurred much earlier. Against the background of the possible loss of clients' money, Russian banks began to strengthen their protection systems and switch to domestic products.

In general, we can conclude that attackers are trying to quickly monetize databases that were leaked relatively long ago, experts say. This is indicated by attempts to make transfers even from blocked cards or expired cards.
