A hacker from Krasnodar infected computers in Europe and America with malware and stole bank card data.

A resident of the Krasnodar Territory was found guilty by the Temrük District Court of creating and distributing malware, as well as financing the Anti-Corruption Fund ( FBK * ) banned in Russia.

According to the press service of the courts of the Krasnodar Territory, the man was engaged in the theft of data from bank cards of foreigners and transferred part of the funds of the FBK. With the help of partners from the Internet – of traffic controllers who distributed malicious files by e-mail, a man infected computers of citizens of Western Europe and America. For every thousand infected PCs, each accomplice received $ 250.

The accused kept all the stolen information on his PC and made purchases on various platforms. FSB officers of the Krasnodar Territory detained the man. The defendant was sentenced to five years in prison and a fine of 200 thousand rubles.
