Apple studies all the media content that the user saves on the smartphone and transfers via iCloud storage using an algorithm similar to spam filters in email services . As Apple spokeswoman Jane Horvath explained, accounts with child pornography will be disabled. However, she did not disclose the mechanism of the algorithm.

The publication believes that the system uses PhotoDNA technology. The algorithm scans the details of the image, comparing it with patterns characteristic of pornography. The system was created in 2009 by Microsoft. It is used by Facebook, Twitter and other IT companies.

Earlier, on September 11, the American portal BuzzFeed announced a feature that allows you to view closed publications and stories in Instagram and Facebook profiles.
