In Ufa, suspected of embezzlement of more than 43 million rubles from the bank, a charge has been brought against her, a preventive measure in the form of house arrest has been chosen. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia.

“The Leninsky District Court of Ufa, the defendant in a criminal case on embezzlement of money in a particularly large amount, committed by a group of people from a financial institution, has chosen a preventive measure in the form of house arrest,” the ministry said in a statement.

According to the investigation, a resident of Ufa born in 1980, working as the manager of the additional office of a commercial institution, in the period from January 2017 to July 2019, together with another employee of a financial and credit organization, repeatedly appropriated money from the cash register.
“In order to conceal shortages, the office manager and her alleged accomplice formalized closing customer deposits. Thus, the accounts of more than 50 depositors were closed, ”the Russian Interior Ministry said.
Earlier, the court of the Leninsky district of Ufa extended the arrest of her alleged accomplice, who worked in the same office as a cashier.

As reported, upon the appropriation of funds in a particularly large amount committed by a group of persons, the attackers were charged with a crime under part 4 of article 160 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation.

“The investigation continues to identify victims of unlawful actions of employees of the bank’s office located at 66 Pervomaiskaya Street, who are suspected of embezzlement, and recommends that depositors check the status of their bank account. If you find signs of illegal actions with your money, you can contact the nearest police station or the Main Investigation Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs in the Republic of Belarus, ”the department notes.
