The man hacked into the mail of his offenders and attracted the attention of the KGB to them.

Employees of the State Security Committee of the Republic of Belarus, together with the Ministry of Internal Affairs, detained an "electronic terrorist" who, along the way, invented the purchase and sale of personal data.

According to the BrestCITY portal, in May 2019, the website of the Investigative Committee of the Republic of Belarus received an email stating that the building of the district administration of the city of Mozyr (Gomel region, Republic of Belarus) was mined. The author of the message demanded that the head of the district administration be removed from office, threatening to blow up the building otherwise. No explosive devices were found during the check by the engineers. However, less than a week later, the same message came to the website of the Ministry of Emergencies. The attacker threatened to blow up the building of the Mozyr District Court, but, like the last time, the alarm turned out to be false.

As it was established by the results of operational-search activities, the "electronic terrorist" is a 30-year-old unemployed resident of the city of Kalinkovichi (Gomel region, Republic of Belarus) Andrei Zakharevich. Imagine the surprise of law enforcement officers when it turned out that the detainee was also involved in cybercriminal activity.

The fact is that Zakharevich bought the stolen personal data of Internet users on the darknet, in particular those who "had a grudge". Wanting to get them in trouble with the KGB, the man logged into their e-mail and sent false messages about mining. For example, in one of the cases, a woman who wanted to buy half of the house from his mother fell victim to the revenge of a touchy Belarusian. In another case, the victim was the seller of windows, the cost of which seemed too high to Zakharevich.
